E.W. JAMES & SONS SUPERMARKET IN HICKMAN, KY ANNOUNCES CLOSURE

[HICKMAN, KY – June 5, 2023] – It is with regret and heartfelt sadness that E.W. James & Sons Supermarkets

announces the closure of its Hickman location. We felt it was the best decision for the future of our company

and our family of associates.

E.W. James & Sons Supermarket has been a proud member of the Hickman community for 89 years. Not only

was Hickman the birthplace of our company, but it was also the longtime home and birthplace of the James

family. Hickman will always be an important part of our history; we will forever be grateful for our strong

Hickman roots, family values, and wonderful memories.

It is important to emphasize that the closure of the Hickman location does not reflect on the dedication and

commitment of our associates. We are immensely proud of the hard work and dedication demonstrated by our

Hickman team throughout the years. All employees will be offered jobs in our other nearby locations.
