Atkins to headline 2025 Banana Festival
May 30, 2025
After a week of “Boot Scootin’ Bananas” in the Twin Cities of Fulton, Ky. and South Fulton, Tenn., the 2025 Banana Festival Committee, in sponsorship with the Fulton Tourism Commission, will give the Saturday night crowd in Unity Park one more reason to pull on those boots when ACM award winning artist Rodney Atkins is featured as the headliner entertainment to close out this year’s festival Sept. 20.
Fans of all ages sing along to Atkins’ multiple widely recognized songs, including “Watching You”, “Farmer’s Daughter”, “ Take a Back Road”, “Thank God For You” and “If You’re Going Through Hell”.
Atkins has charted at least one radio single at Country Radio in three different decades, all while being on the same record label (Curb Records).
That sort of commitment and longevity defines the man.
He is an artist with multi-generational impact whose voice has been a mainstay at Country Radio, challenging all of us to be better no matter our age – parents who are now grandparents, and adults who first heard Rodney while eating a happy meal in their booster seat.
Hailed as one of the most recognized and powerful voices in Country Music, Rodney Atkins has over 4 billion global streams; six number one radio singles; 16.5 million RIAA-certified units over 9 singles and 3 albums.
He has performed on NBC’s TODAY Show, GMA’s Strahan & Sara, and FOX & Friends; and his song “Watching You” was named Number One Song of the Decade by Country Aircheck and earned the songwriter a BMI “Million-Air” Award.
He has cemented mega-hits in the hearts and minds of fans, and always seems to send a message to remain focused on those who matter most.
While considered a superstar, Rodney Atkins has shown he is more interested in connecting with loyal fans and supporting the United States Military than grabbing headlines.
He has most recently put his masterful finishing touches on new music releases in late 2024 and early 2025, beginning with “True South,” this past November.
Join with the multitude of fans and festival goers on Saturday evening, Sept. 20 at 8:30 p.m., sing along to all the well-known favorites and get those boots scootin’ for the free concert that’s sure to be the proverbial icing on the cake. Or, in the Twin Cities’ case, the wafers on the banana pudding, for this year’s Banana Festival headliner entertainer, Rodney Atkins.
