Recommended supply lists for South Fulton Elementary School
July 15, 2025

With the first day of the 2025-2026 school year approaching, South Fulton Elementary recently released recommended supply lists for grades K-5.
For kindergarten, students are recommended to have a backpack large enough for folders and easy for the child to open and close independently, one clear pencil pouch, 12 glue sticks, one pair of safety scissors with metal blades, four boxes of eight large, basic color crayons, one box of washable basic colors markers, one package of Black Expo dry erase markers, one package of yellow #2 thin pencils, one package of yellow oversized beginner thick pencils, a two count pack of large pink rectangular erases, two two-pocket folders, and a set of wireless headphones, which are not wireless or earbuds.
Parents are asked to write your child’s name on each crayon, scissors, markers and pencil pouch using a permanent marker. Do not write names on the rest of the supplies. Excess materials will be put up and used throughout the year, and will be passed out as needed. DO not empty all supplies in the pencil pouch, and leave supplies in the original boxes. It would also be a good idea to buy extra crayons and pencils to use at home for homework.

For second grade, students are recommended to have a zipper pencil pouch, two big pink erasers, a pair of blunt-ended scissors, two boxes of 24-count Crayola crayons, a box of 12-count Crayola colored pencils, 12 glue sticks, a box of two-count chisel tip black dry erase markers, two yellow highlighters, two boxes of wooden (no plastic wrapped or mechanical) #2 pencils, two folders with any color folders, and a pair of earbuds for individual use.
For third grade, students are recommended to have a two-inch binder, a box of crayons, three packs of glue sticks, two packs of #2 yellow or black wood pencils, two packs of erasers, three composition books, a pencil pouch with three holds for binder (not the hard plastic kind), one pair of scissors, and one pair on non-Bluetooth earbuds. Optional is a wireless house.
Parents are asked to label scissors, composition books, and pencil pouch with your child’s name, and do not label individual crayons, pencils, or glue sticks.
For fourth grade, students are recommended to have a non-spiral composition notebook for reading, one 1 subject spiral notebook for science, one package of cap erasers, two packages of wooden or mechanical pencils, a pair of headphones that are not ear buds, a pencil pouch is optional, 12 unscented glue sticks, a package of Expo markers for math, a computer mouse for math, a 1-inch 3-ring binder for math, and one package of 12 dividers for math.
Parents are asked to write your child’s name on the supplies. The extra supplies will be put in a bag with their name on them for future use. Donations of soft Kleenex and disinfected wipes are appreciated.
For fifth grade, students are recommended to have a box of wooden pencils, which will be kept by teachers, a pack of mechanical or regular pencils, a pack of 50 sheet protectors (unopened), a 1-subject notebook with holes, a pack of 5-tab dividers, which must have front and back pockets, a binder with 1 1/2 rings with these requirements: the rings mounted on the back cover, not the spine, two interior clear pockets, clear front, back, and spine covers, and it does not matter what color the binder is but covers and inside pockets must be clear, and great brands like Avery Clear Cover Heavy Duty, Avery Durable, and exceed Heavy Duty Binder, non-Bluetooth headphones, which will stay at school, Lysol/cleaning wipes, and a wireless mouse is optional. All items are to remain in the original packing.
