AREA OBITUARIES — Joyce Faye Jones

Joyce Faye Jones, age 83, of South Fulton, Tenn., passed away at her residence on Fri., July 3, 2026.
Born on Aug. 1, 1942, in Jefferson City, Mo., Joyce was the daughter of the late Jess Bunton and Mollie Sadler Bunton.
Joyce was a devoted member of South Fulton Baptist Church, where she faithfully served as a choir member for many years. She was employed by the former DURA plant and spent her entire life in the South Fulton area. She was an active member of the local senior citizens organization. Above all, she cherished her family and found her greatest joy in spending time with her children, granddaughter, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her two sons, Keith Jones and his wife Michelle Lazalier-Jones, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Mike (Anita) Jones, of Clarksville, Tenn.; her granddaughter, Hailey (Nic) Screnock, of Jefferson, Ga.; her two great-grandchildren, Miller and Saylor Screnock, of Jefferson, Ga.; and her brother, Donald Bunton, of South Fulton, Tenn.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by 10 siblings.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Tues., July 7 at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in the Freeman Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
