The South Fulton High School Lady Red Devils recently dropped a pair of games, falling in three sets to the Gibson County Lady Lady Pioneers Thurs., Sept. 10 and the Union City Lady Golden Tornadoes Tues., Sept. 8.
The Lady Red Devils are 1-9 overall and 1-6 in district play for the 2026 season.
They will next travel to Humboldt to take on the Lady Tigers Tues., Sept. 15.

The Gibson County High School Lady Pioneers defeated the South Fulton High School Lady Red Devils in straight sets Wednesday, Sept. 10, winning 25-13, 25-9 and 25-14.
Gibson County controlled the match throughout, earning the 3-0 victory and dropping South Fulton to 1-9 on the season. Gibson County improved to 10-9.
Gwen Long and Morgan Guthrie led the Lady Red Devils with two kills apiece. Long recorded her two kills on just three attacks for a .667 kill percentage, while Guthrie had two kills on 13 attempts.
Kaylee Wallace added one kill on four attacks. South Fulton finished with five kills on 44 attacks, committing 10 errors for a team hitting percentage of -.114.
Long also led the defensive effort with 11 digs. Kaylee Wallace recorded four digs, while Sarah Auxier and Guthrie each had two. Makenna Haley finished with two digs in one set played, and South Fulton totaled 23 digs.
At the service line, South Fulton recorded three aces. Auxier, Guthrie and Wallace each had one ace. The Lady Red Devils served at an 86.8-percent success rate, going 33-for-38 with five service errors.
Guthrie led South Fulton with a team-high five assists, while Auxier added three. The Lady Red Devils finished with 10 assists.
Guthrie also finished with a strong serving performance, going 5-for-6 with two aces and an 83.3-percent serve percentage. Auxier went 8-for-9 with one ace, while Long went 4-for-4 with one ace.
Karleigh Morgan recorded South Fulton's lone block of the match, finishing with one solo block.
In serve receiving, Cali Irvan led the team with six receptions, followed by Long with four, Wallace with two, and Auxier and Guthrie with one each. South Fulton finished with 14 total receptions.
Despite the loss, the Lady Red Devils were led by Long's all-around effort, while Guthrie contributed in kills, assists, digs and serving.

The Union City High School Lady Golden Tornadoes defeated the South Fulton High School Lady Red Devils in straight sets Tues. Sept. 8, winning 25-16, 25-23 and 25-19.
South Fulton battled Union City throughout the match, coming within two points in the second set before the Lady Tornadoes closed out the 3-0 victory.
Guthrie led South Fulton offensively with six kills on 12 attacks, recording a .500 kill percentage. She also had five assists and five digs and served a team-high five aces.
Morgan added three kills on 18 attempts, while Long had three kills on 11 attacks. Hannah Dance recorded two kills on 11 attempts, and Irvan added one kill on three attacks.
As a team, South Fulton finished with 15 kills on 65 attacks, with 14 errors and a .015 hitting percentage.
The Lady Red Devils recorded 13 service aces. Guthrie led the way with five, followed by Long with four and Sarah Auxier with three. Rachel Morris added one ace.
Auxier and Guthrie paced South Fulton defensively, with Auxier recording eight digs and Guthrie five. Long added seven digs, while Wallace had three and Haley had two. South Fulton finished with 29 total digs.
Auxier also led the team in assists with eight, while Wallace contributed three. The Lady Red Devils totaled 12 assists and one block-assist error.
South Fulton finished with a 72.9 percent team serving percentage, despite 16 service errors.
