Hickman Police Department to host Halloween Color Run Oct. 24

The Hickman Police Department will host a Halloween-themed Color Run on Sat., Oct. 24, in Hickman, Ky. with proceeds benefiting the department’s Shop with a Cop program.
The event will offer participants an opportunity to run, walk or otherwise make their way through a colorful course while supporting local children in the community. Participants are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes and come prepared for a fun, family-oriented event.
Check-in will open at 8 a.m., with the race scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. at Hickman City Hall. Participants may choose between a 5K or 3K event.
Registration is $30 per participant. The event includes age categories for participants 12 and under, 13-19, 20-35, 36-45 and 46 and older.
Registration fees may be paid by cash, check payable to the Hickman Police Department, Cash App at $HickmanPD, or PayPal at @HickmanPD801.
Volunteers are also being sought to assist with water stations, paint-throwing stations and the registration table.
The Shop with a Cop program assists local children, and organizers said all proceeds from the Color Run will benefit the program.
