Fulton County School District Veterans Day program Nov. 11, 2024

Sondra Gibbs, Fulton County School District Director of Academic Operations led off the program in the Fulton County High School gym Nov. 11, to honor local area Veterans and pay tribute to their service, as well as remember the Veterans who gave their lives serving. Program speakers included Superintendent Patrice Chambers, Debbie Jackson, American Legion Auxiliary, Fulton and Perry Turner, Fulton County Board of Education Chair and United States Army/National Guard. Elementary, Middle and High School students contributed to the program, which included prayer and Pledge of Allegiance, the story of the Poppy and the poem, In Flanders Fields. A medley of Armed Forces' songs was performed, with "God Bless America" as the closing performance. Special guests recognized included a large group of local Veterans.
